“Mom! Mom! I found this while we were in the attic! What is it?” Your son’s voice called, as you turned to see your brunette 6-year-old holding a large flag with ‘Cheesecake Crusaders’ written sloppily with a black ink pen. You smiled as you took the flag into your hands, memories flooding into your mind like a tsunami.
“Your father and I made this while we were still your age...”
-Flashback to age 6-
“Hey Mask! Look!” You skipped to your friend, the small bag making sound as you got closer to the brunette.
“You know how my mom makes clothes and stuff? Well my dad asked her if she could make a flag for (Random team name), so she tried it and she had some extra things and made me one that we could draw on and stuff!” You took a large breath as you finished your last sentence, eyes sparkling with excitement as you bounced up and down, the masked boy watching you with unnoticed red cheeks.
“You say the word stuff a lot, (Name). B-But what should we put on the flag thing?” He spoke quietly as you pondered the question, scratching your head confusingly. You shrugged as you took out the items out of your small (F/c) bag, which was two pieces of cheesecake, water, different colored ink pens, and a small blanket. You set everything out, not realizing the icy blue gaze of the hungered boy.
"Here-" You were about to hand him the delicious dessert as he snatched from your chubby hands. You blinked a couple of times before you giggled, watching the boy inhale the piece of cake. An idea popped into your head as you flashed your friend as toothy grin as you grabbed the flag, along with a black marker.
"There!' You shoved the flag into Masky's arms, seeing him done. You remember last time when you made hin unable to eat his cheesecake. You still have the claw marks to this day...
"You spelt crusaders, wrong (Name)."
"Hey! Atleast I tried." You puffed out your cheeks as the kid beside you let out a small laugh. He quickly drew a small piece of cheesecake on the flag, along with a pink heart.
"I vow to always be apart of the Cheesecake Crusadger-"
"Yeah! Do you vow to be my sidekick, Mister Mask?" You stood on your tip-toes, being slightly taller than your friend as he shook his head, a laugh coming from under his mask, blue eyes sparkling.
"Yes ma'am, Miss (Last name)." He saluted you as you fell down giggling, along with you best friend.
-Back to the Present-
"Yeah! So I found you and mommy's flag! She told me all about how you guys formed your own military!" Your son hopped up in down, your husband watching with slight amusement.
"I remember this..."Maksy inspected the flag, a rusty chuckle coming from his chest.
"Oh, the time! Soldier, you need to go to bed." You rushed your brown-haired son into his room, as he whined.
"But mom! I'm not tired!"
"You always say that, and 1 second later your out cold." You laughed as he pouted, (Eye color) orbs narrowed at your form.
"What if I take you to Splendy's tomorrow so you can help him blow up balloons for Uncle Hoodie's birthday?" He nodded quickly, giving you a kiss on the cheek as he slammed the door, light going out soon after. Walking back out, Masky was standing in the middle of the kitchen, a plate of your favorite food on the platter.
"Would you like some, my dear Cheesecake Crusader?"
